Looking for an apartment in Barcelona that is a great base for your visit to Barcelona.   One of the attractions in Barcelona is the magic fountains (set to musical accompaniment) and called fuentes luminosas in Spain, underneatth the Palau National, which can be seen from the terrace of this apartment (although to be fair we have used a big lens for the photo below.  The fountains are about 15 minutes walk from the apartment..  If you are coming to Barcelona by the  new AVE ( Alta Velocidad Española ) Barcelona - Madrid train station at Sants this apartment is also quite convenient although with NO hint of any train noise.   Behind the fountains is the Palau Nacional a spectacular piece of architecture in Barcelona. There are also lovely gardens to wander around and great views looking across the whole of Barcelona city.  The Palau is on the edge of Montjuic, where the famous Olympic stadium from the Barcelona 1992 Olympics, now the temporary home to Espanyol, Barcelona´s other football team (though not to be forgotten!!).  The apartment is also close to Camp Nou, home of Barcelona FC.
