You really have to know Barcelona to know how superb a location this is.  Placa Catalunya is often considered the epi-centre of Barcelona.  Running downhill from the placa is the Rambla which is a must see tourist destination.  However, from the Placa Catalunya going up the hill towards Tibidabo is Rambla de Catalunya.  This apartment is on Ramba de Catalunya, perhaps some  3 minute walk from Placa Catalunya. 

Not only is this a central location but those of us who are fortunate enough to live here know and love this "street" because of itīs wide central, pedestrianised area with its many tapas bars, cafes and restaurants (prices less than on the more touristy Rambla).

You have to come here to experience the atmosphere of taking breakfast on the Rambla de Catalunya and watching the world go by, which it literally does (We recently saw a man who was perhaps 3 metres tall/high).  It is also one of those remarkable places where, despite being 400 metres from a great Jazz bar still manages to be quiet at night.
