La Festa dels Tres Tombs is celebrated around St Anthony’s Day (Jan 17th), and, of course, in the neighbourhood of Sant Antoni in Barcelona. Here are photos of the Horse Procession, which is part of the week long “festa mayor” in this Sant Antoni barrio of the city. taken Saturday 21 Jan 2012.
An enjoyable evening at the recent El Borne Wine Tastng Fair - Nov 2011.
The festival takes place in Calle Agullers in El Borne and is a chance for the local wine merchants to present their selections of wines for the general public to try. They set up stalls and display their vinos tintos, rosados and blancos for everyone to taste. There is only one cost and that is to buy the commemorative wine glass you need to taste the wine - 5€.
Some of the local bars and restaurants provide free tapas to help soak up the tastings! It is a popular local festival and finishes when all bottles have been drunk!!
Montjuic Open-air Cinema at the Castle....a great evening for a picnic, jazz music and then a classic movie. Last one for this summer is tonight 5th July 2011 - Film is The Black Knight. Go & enjoy!!

The streets of El Borne around Santa Maria del Mar were packed with local wine and food lovers, testing out the local produce.
Above is a picture of one of the many wine stalls.
You bought your wine glass for 4€ and then went around to each stall where you were given a taste of their wines.
Pictures of the Cal Pep restaurant stall who were serving barbecued sardines in marinated parsley and olive oil....delicious!!
